MY PRACTICE
My Practice:
I specialize in the treatment of individuals who have been the victim of trauma including those who have been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused. I provide extensive mental health and chemical dependency assessments and treatment planning. I have an in depth understanding of the dynamics of dysfunctional family systems resulting from chemical dependency, mental illness or domestic violence. I also treat those with mood disorders including; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression.
My philosophy:
I see the counseling process as a collaborative relationship. Client and therapist each contribute to move towards resolution of issues. I will do whatever is necessary for you to attain the goals that you set for yourself in this relationship. I will draw from a variely of theories and techniques and will choose an approach which has meaning to you.
Counseling models that I am fond of include: Humanistic, Logo Therapy, Reality Therapy, Neoro Linguistic Programming, and Cognitive Restructuring. I believe my role is to not give you the answers but guide you to discover the answers that are within.
Rates:
$130.00 an hour. These fees are contingent on the guidelines that are set by the insurance companies that I am contracted with. I am also able to provide a sliding fee scale for those who are not fortunate enough to have private insurance. My fee for a mental health diagnostic interview is $250.00. Nursing peer support group fee is $20.00 per group. I require 24 hour notice for cancelled appointments. If you do not cancel you will be charged in full. Payment is due at time of service.
As a licensed counselor all your sessions with me are strickly confidential.
